Kids will go wild for this WILD WEST theme literacy bag. Inside the
hand-painted bag, you will find SEVEN ORIGINAL EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES to
enhance children's learning in various areas of the curriculum. Activities are
laminated in 3 mil. film for extra durability and everything is already cut out for
you!
INCLUDED:
1. Hand-painted western theme bag (can be personalized with your preferred
title)
2. Ropin' Rhymes: Students match the cowboy's lasso to the steer with the
rhyming word
3. Kickin' Contractions: Students match the cowboy boot contraction word card
with its two word partner card
4. Cactus Colors: Students match together the colored cactus with its color
word card
5. Countin' Cowboy Style: Students count the stars on each cowboy hat and
match it to the correct numbered cowboy hat. (Numbers 1-10) THIS CAN BE
CHANGED TO AN ADDITION PROBLEM/SUM MATCHING ACTIVITY
6. Headin' West Syllable Count: Students clap out the syllables for each theme
word on the covered wagons
7. Cowboy Hat Glyph: Students follow the instructions for coloring their original
cowboy hat based on their own personal information. (reproducible)
8. Visual Discrimination Cards: Students match together the five pairs of cards
that have the pictures in the same order. (Pictures on cards may vary from the
ones shown in the picture but all are western themed.)
9. Parent Letter explaining how to do each activity

4. Texas Facts question and answer sheet: See how many Texas questions you
can answer correctly. Check your answers on the back of the page
