

1. Moon Phase Game: Use a penny or other small object as a token and place it at
the start. Draw a moon phase card from the upside down deck and move your token
to the first moon phase on the game board that matches it. The first person to reach
the end of the game board is the winner.
2. Sun or Moon: Decide whether the statements on the cards tell about the sun or
the moon. Place each card in it's correct box.
3.Shadow Matching: Match each object to its correct shadow on the mat.
4. Sun & Moon Memory Game: Play a memory game using the sun and moon game

5. Number word / Numeral Match: Match the stars with the number words to their
correct numerals.
6. Let's Learn About Stars: Read the book "Let's Learn About Stars".
7. Cosmic Comprehension: Use what you learned from the book to answer the
comprehension questions. Match each sun question to it's correct moon answer.
8. Constellation Creation: After looking at the constellation templates. Choose your
favorite one to re-create on black construction paper. Connect the stars using chalk
to show the picture the constellation makes. Write the name of your constellation an
the bottom of the page.
9. Sky Favorites: Ask 10 friends which of the following is their favorite thing in the
sky--sun, moon, or stars. Graph their answers.
10. Soaring Through Space Addition Game: Roll the two dice. Add the numbers
together. Move to that number on the game board. The first person to get to the
moon wins the round.
11. Rebus Rhyme: Enjoy reading the rebus rhyme for Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
12. Creative Writing: The sun is very hot and even though the Earth is far away, we
can still get a sunburn. Tell what steps you can take to keep from getting a sunburn.
13. Solar Oven: Work with an adult and follow the steps to build your own solar
oven.
