1. Planet Placement: Review your ordinal numbers by placing each planet on the mat according to the directions.
2. Planet Matching: Put together the planet pair cards. One card has the name and picture of a planet and the second card has the name and a planet fact.
3. Space Size Order: Using the information from the planet matching fact cards to put the planet picture cards in size order.
4. Space Travel Bingo: Play a bingo-style game of SPACE using space travel as a theme.
5. Creative Writing: We are always making new discoveries in space. Pretend you are a scientist who discovers a new planet. Tell what you would name your planet, what planets it is closest to and what it looks like.
6. Space Travel Time Line: Put the highlights of the US space program in order from the first to the latest.
7. Comet and Meteor Facts: Read the fun facts about comets and meteors and then use the information to answer the true or false questions.
8. Outer Space Tic-Tac-Toe: Play a game of tic-tac-toe using the comets and meteors instead of "X"s and "O"s.
9. Draw a Rhyme Alien: Finish each line with a word that rhymes and makes sense. After you have finished deciding on the rhyming word, draw it.
10. Out of the World Opposites: Match together the Alien and Spaceship cards that have the word pairs that are opposites.
