Inside this hand-painted bag you will find eight fun activities all related to
punctuation.  The book PUNCTUATION TAKES A VACATION would be a great
companion to this bag.

Included:

1. Handpainted canvas bag

2. Punctuation Board game (periods, question marks and exclamation points)
Draw a card. Read the sentence and decide if it should have a period, question mark
or exclamation point at the end. Move your token to the next space that has the
correct punctuation mark to finish your sentence. If you land on a space occupied by
another player, that player must go back to last correct punctuation space.

3. Crossword puzzle: Answer the questions about commas, quotations, periods,
question marks, and exclamation points in a crossword puzzle format.

4. Quotations: After reading the brief description of quotation marks, place quotation
marks at the beginning and ending of the works spoken in a conversation between a
mother and daughter.

5. Comma Clams: Match the sentence clams to the clams on the beach that have the
rule that matches.

6. Apostrophes in Contractions: Match the airplane cards with the two words to the
suitcase cards with the correct contraction. You will also need to do draw the
apostrophe in the space where it takes the place of the missing letters in the
contraction.

7. Three way matching: Draw a line to match the punctuation symbol with its name
and then a line to match the name with its purpose.

8. Spin and Write: Spin the spinner and then write a sentence that uses the ending
punctuation you landed on.
