Early Childhood Learning Center Activities Set 1 is geared toward Pre-K and early Kdg. Each activity utilizes a 9" x 12" craft envelope. The activities inside are laminated in 3 mil thick laminating film for durability. The envelope is laminated as well (with the exception of the flap and about ½ “ below the flap). Each envelope has an illustrated front and if an answer key is needed, is on the back (so its laminated as well). Click here for pictures of each activity set. 1. Clowning Around with Numbers: Students put the clowns juggling balls in order from 1-10. There are circle outlines on the mat with the number word printed inside so they can start associating the number and the number word. Answer key on back of envelope. (skill: number sequencing 1-10)
2. Hot or Cold?: Students decide whether each item is hot or cold and place it on the correct space on the mat. Answer key on back of envelope. (Skill: identifying properties of hot and cold)
3. Falling for Patterns: Students match the Fall theme pattern strips to the identical pattern on the mat. (skill: visual discrimination/patterns)
4. Out of this World Alphabet Matching: Your Mission--Land your lowercase letter rocket on it's uppercase letter star. (skill: lowercase and uppercase letter recognition/matching)
5. The Great Frog Race: Draw a number card. If it is your assigned color, slide your frog up or down the number line to that number. The first to reach 10 wins the round. (skill number recognition 1-10)
6. Who is Missing?: Write in the missing letter in each sequence. Each sequence has three letters and the middle one is missing--ie: a, __, c. Answer key on back of envelope. (skill: alphabet sequencing)
7. Sandwich Shapes: Someone cut a shape out of each sandwich! Match the shape cutout to the correct sandwich (skill: shape recognition/matching)
8. Counting Crows: Count the crows on each bird card and match it to it’s number on the math mat. (skill: counting 1-12)
9. Moving Along: Place each item onto the mat to show whether it moves in the sky, on land, or in water. Answer key on back. (Skills: Classifying and sorting)
10. Little Elf’s Alphabet Match: Look at each uppercase letter on the elf’s sign. Color in the circle that has that letter’s lowercase partner. (Skill: uppercase and lowercase letter recognition)
11. Feathered Friends: Count the birds in each tree top and match it to the tree trunk with that number. (Skill: one to one correspondence/number recognition)
12. Common Cents: Match the coin cards to the same coins in the piggy bank. (Skill: Visual discrimination using coins)
