This cute literacy bag is based on the book PETE THE CAT:
I LOVE MY WHITE SHOES. Inside the hand-painted canvas
bag, you will find NINE teacher-created educational
activities from different areas of the curriculum. Activities
are printed on quality card stock, laminated in thick
laminating pouches, cut out and ready to use.

2. Sneaky Silent E: Pull the word strip through the first set
of slots and read the short vowel word. Then, pull it
through the slots with the silent e and read the new long
vowel word.
3. Color Word and Picture Match: Match each picture with
it's correct color word.
4. What Did Pete Step In?: Color Pete's shoes and the
write a sentence to tell what he stepped in.
5. Pete's -at Family Word Wheel: Turn the word wheel to
create new words from the -at family.
6. Pete's Punctuation Game: Draw a card. Read the
sentence and decide if it should have a period, question
mark or exclamation point at the end. Move your token to
the next space that has the correct punctuation mark to
finish your sentence. If you land on a space occupied by
another player, that player must go back to last correct
punctuation space.
7. Silent E Bingo Game: Play a game of silent E Bingo
with a friend. Choose a caller to call out the words. Find
and mark the silent e word called on your Bingo card. The
first person to get a row of words (across, up and down, or
diagonally) wins the round and becomes the caller for the
next round.
8. Adjective Walk: Adjectives are words that describe
nouns. Remember nouns are people, places or things.
Circle the adjectives. Many of them are from the story.
