Nature
Everywhere you look, nature can be found.  Help you students discover some of
what nature has to offer in this informative bag!   Students will have fun learning
about trees, plants and eggs. As always, everything is printed on quality card
stock, laminated, and cut out for you.  Activities included in the bag are:

1.Parts of a Tree: Label the parts of the tree using the words above the picture.

2.  Who's Living in the Tree?:  Trees are home to many different creatures. Draw
the leaves on the tree and then draw some of the living things that might make
that tree home.  When you have finished, write about your tree.

3.  Seasons Change and So Do Deciduous Trees:  Place the picture cutouts on the
correct space on the mat to show what an apple tree looks like in each season.

4.  Imagine That!  Imagine a world without trees or plants.  What would our yards
look like?  What would happen to our farms and our food?  Would we have parks
to play in?  What would happen to the animals?  Write what you think the world
would be like without trees or plants.  Draw a picture of what it we would see.

5.  Can I See Your Rings?:  Follow  the directions given to found out how  old the
tree is.

6.  Deciduous and Coniferous Trees:  Read each description card, decide if it is
describing a deciduous tree, a coniferous tree, or both types and place on the
correct side of the mat.

7.  Tree Words:   Match together the letters in the first box to the letters in the
second box to make a tree themed word.  Write the words on the lines below.

8.  Leaf Memory Match:  Play a memory matching game with leaf cards.  There
are 12 pairs of leaves from different kinds of trees.

9.  What's in the Egg?  Each numbered egg has a picture of an oviparous creature
inside.  Read the description for each egg and see if you can guess what it is
before  you open the egg.

10.  Owl Eyes:  Make your own owl eyes craft.

10.  Activity Letter: Explains how to do each activity.
