Insects!
Compound Words: Draw a line from the first column to the word in the middle column
that will create a new compound word. Then draw a line from the middle column to
the picture in the last column that matches the new compound word.
Butterfly Life Cycle: Place the pictures in the correct spot on the circle to show the
life cycle of a butterfly. (Life cycle pictures are in back pouch.)
Count by Threes Bees: Place the bee number cards in order from least to greatest
counting by threes. (Bee cards are in back pouch.)
Cootie Bug Vowel Game: Each Cootie Bug part has been assigned a certain vowel
sound. (See the game card for list.) In order to get each part to build your Cootie Bug,
you must draw a card that matches that body part. Turn all the cards upside down (or
place in a bag and draw one without looking). Read the word and find the body part
for that vowel sound. You must get a head and body part before any other pieces.
See how many draws it takes to build your Cootie Bug. (Cootie Bug pieces and cards
are in back pouch.)
Sentence Correction: Rewrite each sentence using proper capitalization and
punctuation.
Bees and "Sum"flowers: Match each addition problem bee to its correct "Sum"
flower. (Addition Bees are in back pouch.)
Insect Count and Compare: Sort the foam insects according to type and then again by
size of each type (big or small). Answer the questions on the Insect Count and
Compare sheet. (Foam insects are in back pouch)
Insect Patterns: Use the insect stamps to stamp out patterns. Label the pattern you
made (ie: ABABAB; ABC ABC, etc.) (Stamps are in back pouch.) The stamps that are
included are different from the ones in the picture. There are five different designs of
the pencil top stamps.
Ant-onyms: Match each ant to its correct antonym on the tablecloth. (Pieces are in
back pouch.)
