This is a fun and educational literacy bag featuring GREEN EGGS AND HAM by Dr.
Seuss. Inside the hand-painted canvas bag, you will find a EIGHT
teacher-created educational activities to help reinforce skills in the areas of
reading, writing, language and math. As always, all activities are printed on
quality cardstock, laminated in three mil thick laminating pouches, cut out and
ready to go. Literacy bags are a wonderful addition to any primary level
classroom and can be used as take home bags, take it to your seat centers, or
small group activities.
1. Hand-painted canvas bag
2. I Love Ham: Make words from the -am word family by sliding the letter strip
through the ham pull through.
3. Synonym Eggs: Match together the egg puzzles by find the two pieces that
are synonyms.
4. Vowel Match: Draw a line from the words that give the vowel sound to the
pictures that have that vowel sound.
5. Rhyming Eggs: Put each green yolk word on the egg white that rhymes.
6. Say, I do like it! (Creative Writing): What is something that you tasted that you
didn't think you'd like, but found out that you did? Write about it and draw a
picture of the food.
7. There are 12 in a Dozen: Put together the top and bottom halves of the plastic
eggs that create a sum of 12. (six plastic eggs)
8. Vowels and Consonants: Write the word from the word box that fits the vowel
/ consonant pattern given in each square.
9. Think About It: Answer each Think About question.
