FASCINATING FRANCE
Fascinating France is from my Globe Trotting series.  The hand-painted bag
features the Eiffel Tower.  Inside are eight original activities to help your
students explore this fascinating country.  All activities are printed on card
stock, laminated, cut out and ready to use.

1.  Capture the French Flag:  Toss two dice (one number and one letter die),
form an ordered pair (e.g. B5), then remove the flag from that space, if there is
one. Play continues until one player has captured 10  flags.

2.  The Holidays in France:  Read about some of the special holidays
celebrated in France.  Match the description of  the holidays to their correct
pictures.

3.  French Art:  Read about the art forms Pointillism and Impressionism
practiced by some very famous French artists.  When you have finished try
your hand at pointillism and impressionism by completing the activities on the
page.

4.  Numbers and Object Match:  Count the pictures on each object card and
match it to it's correct French number word/number card.

5.  The Sights of Paris:  Read the description of some of the famous landmarks
and sights of Paris, France and then match them to their pictures.

6.  Vive la Difference!: Use the chart to compare life in your community with
life in France.  The compare how the holiday listed on the chart difference
from how you celebrate on that day.

7.  The Colors:  Play a matching game and match the crayons with the French
color words to the crayons with the English color words.  

8.  On the Map:  Find the places listed on the directions page on the map and
follow the directions.

9.  Activity Letter:  Explains how to do each activity.
