| Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Activities CD-ROM |
This CD-ROM containis seven teacher-created literacy activities to accompany
the story CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. The activities are in PDF
format and were created by me. These activities are great to use as literacy
bag inserts, take home activities or class literacy centers (individual or small
group). There is minimal cutting and all the necessary cutting from this set can
be done on a paper trimmer. Fast and easy!
THE ACTIVITIES INCLUDED IN THIS UNIT:
1. Vocabulary: Match the definition to the vocabulary word on the mat. (This
can be played as a BINGO type game where the student tries to get four in a
row or by matching the definition card to the word.)
2. Character Description Matching: Match the name/picture card of the main
characters to the card that best describes that person.
3. Golden Ticket Math: Solve the three and four digit addition and subtraction
problems on the golden tickets. A page with the same activity using numbers
with decimals is also included.
4. Silver and Gold Kisses Probability Activity: Using a pouch and tweny candy
kisses (10 gold and 10 silver wrapped) complete the probability activity. The
directions are on the back of the data page.
5. How to Make Chocolate Sequencing: Read the short paragraph on how
cacao beans become a finished chocolate candy and then number the steps on
the bottom of the page in the correct order.
6. Nuclear and Extended Family Writing Activity: What type of family group do
you have? Draw and write about it.
7. Descriptive Writing: Create a new type of candy bar, name it and describe it.
8. Activity Letter: Explains how to do each activity.
