This racing fun literacy bag is perfect to use along with Disney's movie
"Cars". Inside the hand-painted bag, you will find 8 teacher created activities
from various areas of the curriculum. Each activity is laminated in 3 mil
laminating film, cut out and ready to use. Just add your favorite book!

Singular to Plural Speedway: Rules for plurals: If the word ends in y with a
consonant in right before it (ie: spy), drop the y and add -ies. If the word
ends in s, ss, x, ch, or sh add -es. Write the correct plural form of the word
in each box.
R-controlled Raceway: Decide whether you need to add an -ar or -or to
complete the name of each picture.
The Great Race: Choose a color. Take turns drawing a card. If the card
matches your color,solve the addition problem and slide your car to the
correct sum. If you draw a lower The Great Race: number, you must move
back down to that number. If it doesn't match your color, your turn is over.
The first person to reach the sum of 10 wins.
Gentlemen, Start Your Engines--Go!: Sort out the cards according to
whether they have the hard /g/ or soft /g/ sound.
Creative Writing: What character from Disney's book and movie Cars is your
favorite? Why did you choose that character?
The Countdown is On: Match together the cards with the number words ten
through one hundred (counting by tens) with the cards that show that number
in unifix cubes.
