The BUTTONS bag is a great bag to use to provide extra practice in math skills. It goes wonderfully with the books Grandma's Button Box, The Button Box or even Corduroy. Inside the colorful, hand-painted bag, you'll find 9 educational activities (and necessary manipulatives). The activities are printed in color on quality cardstock, lamainated in three mil. laminating pouches, cut out and ready to use.
1. Button Patterns: Use the real buttons to finish each pattern.
2. Create-a-pattern: Use the buttons to create your own pattern. See if you can make a pattern using size or the number of holes in the buttons.
3. Button Venn Diagram: Sort out the buttons using the Venn Digram.
4. Button Addition: Sort out the bag of little buttons by color. Then count how many you have of each color. Use the information to complete addition problems.
5. Fact Families: Finish the addition or subtraction problem on each fact family card and then sort out them onto their correct buttons on the mats.
6. Number Sequence: Put the teddy bear cut outs in order from 10-20.
7. Button Count: Turn over the numbered teddy bears. Pick one from the pile and put the correct number of buttons to match the number.
8. Button Color Graph: After sorting out the buttons by color, complete the graph to show how many of each color you have.
9. Button Comparison: Use the information from the button graph to compare the number of buttons for the different colors.
